If you’re reading this then you likely already know about Neon Demon Studio but here’s a little backstory. Neon Demon was founded in 2018 by digital content creator Jon Simo. He wanted to bring what was in his mind into the physical so he began collecting vibrant and unique neon signs. Very quickly his collection grew to over 40 signs so he set up a space in Toronto’s Leslieville. Using his background in cinematography he created a studio space that is not only unique in its appeal but also designed to be incredibly easy and fun to shoot in.
Since its opening 3 years ago Neon Demon has had hundreds of rentals, including the likes of artists Shawn Mendes, Alessia Cara, Daddy Yankee and brands such as Canon, Huawei and Insta360. The studio has amassed a social media following of over 33,000 and has been showcased in multiple publications such as Global News, the Globe&Mail, BlogTO
and CBC.
Jon Simo and Neon Demon are looking to take the space and the concept to the next level, which is where YOU come in.
👤 Who you are?
As the new general manager of the space we’re looking for a passionate person with a fiery entrepreneurial spirit. Someone who loves to work in a creative industry and grow something good into something great.

Focused on getting things done and has a clear action plan on how to achieve those goals.

Flexible with their work-week and available to ebb&flow as the business grows

Great at managing people, whether it’s the day to day studio operations or big picture business connections, being a people person is a highly desired trait here.

Used to managing a physical space, whether it was a studio, gym, retail or community.

Comfortable with social media, creating promotions and fostering growth in the online space.

Extremely well organized, understands systems and is comfortable integrating new systems into the business to optimize operations.
⁉️ The Ask:
This job is an AMAZING opportunity for someone who has always wanted to run their own business but hasn't known how to get started, all the groundwork is done. Jon Simo will provide training and coaching over the first few months to set you up for success.
This is not a complicated job for the right person, what we’re asking for is someone who will handle the studio bookings which includes email correspondence, waivers and payment. Admin tasks such as bookkeeping, financial tracking and organization. Social media tasks will include weekly feed posts, well told stories and strategy for engagement over multiple platforms. Most importantly big picture tasks like studio growth, educational grants and scaling will help propel both the studio and your own career to the next level!
🎖 Next Steps
This is a full-time commitment but the potential gains can be huge. Jon Simo wants to hand over managerial responsibilities and with that comes a large cut of the monthly earnings through revenue sharing. You can earn as much as you want if you’re helping the studio to grow. There is no ceiling to what you can make here.
